KAYLA-Director/FounderI am a mother, doula and dancer living in Norwich, Norfolk with my husband my two sons 6 and 2 and cat Monty.
I have been holding space for women since 2013 and set up Red Tent Norfolk in 2014 to support women to feel heard, loved and accepted. I wanted to create a community for all women to connect together and draw strength from their stories and shared experiences. Since then my desire to connect with nature led me to set up Wild Tree Gatherings as I love providing soulful events for like minded folk to re connect with natures rhythms and cycles. The workshops and ceremonies I offer flow with the seasons and draw on inspirations and rituals from the pagan wheel of the year. By embracing nature, you can open up to the power of transformation and allow small positive changes in your life. By working with the shifting seasons you can unlock and work with this change and flowing energy. Nature teaches us to work intuitively with the land and listen to our own inner voice so we can dance to our own unique drum beat of life. |
DANCER
I have worked within the creative arts for over 17 years as a Dance Artist-Performer and Choreographer. I believe that accessing the creative arts can unlock so many people's creative potential. I have spent many years working with young people and adults with learning disabilities to promote their independence through creativity and movement. I have created a show 'Monologues of Motherhood' which was about my experience of being a new mother and all the highs and lows. This project was developed over a year and I performed it as part of The Norfolk and Norwich Festival two years running in 2015 and 2016. |
DOULA
I am a doula to support all women to birth their ideas and dreams and support them through the transitions of life. I believe that an empowering pregnancy and birth is one where the mumma is at the heart of the decision making process and has prepared for her journey spiritually and emotionally as well as physically. |
