The power of a circle
"As women gather for a red tent, it is already in motion. Each gathering is different as women weave their needs and desires into the circle.
The circle is cast to create a safe and sacred container to be heard and held during these few hours together. The feeling of community and support fills my senses and I am held in that moment.
I can stand in my power and truth knowing I am loved and heard
The power of a circle is so amazing. It is a sacred container which supports me so I can breath a little easier, love a little wider, and feel connected to the divine. My edges soften and as I gaze at the women I am surrounded by, I know that they are gazing back with the reflection of what is in my heart.
The circle creates safety, the circle creates union, the circle creates continual love and support, the circle symbolises the inner cycles of my menstrual cycle and the outer cycles of the seasons and connections with the archetypes maiden, mother, wild women and crone. These connections between the inner and outer worlds becomes the sacred dance of self love, self care, self acceptance and inner knowing that we are all connected to our wider community, a tribe of women.
The strong yet gentle support that I’ve witnessed whilst at a red tent is so profound, playful, wild, free, tender, deep, loving, transformative.
It is difficult to describe the magic and beauty of circling within the Red Tent as it is a ‘knowing’ and shared consciousness of a group of women who gather together with shared intentions and a deep desire to connect."
A Red Tent is a space for all women to come together in love and compassion to share, be held and heard in circle with other women.
